Bengaluru: On Monday November 1, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the 66th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru by paying floral tribute to the Goddesses Bhuvaneshwari and hoisting national flag.
During the ceremony, CM Bommai said, “Let the pride of Kannada be eternal. Kannada Rajyotsava celebration symbolises integrity, self-respect, harmony.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his message to the people of Karnataka, said, “Best wishes on the special occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava. Karnataka has made a special mark due to the innovative zeal of its people. The State is at the forefront of outstanding research and enterprise. May Karnataka scale newer heights of success in the times to come.”
In response to the wish CM tweeted, “Thank you for your wishes @narendramodi ji. This Kannada Rajyotsava we in Karnataka pledge to make new strides towards Atmanirbhar Bharath and contribute our optimum efforts to achieve Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas in the best way possible.”
Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted: “A warm wish to my brothers and sisters on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. The land of Karnataka is blessed with wonderful culture, cuisine and traditions. May this beautiful land continue to contribute to the progress of the country.”
Apart from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Haryana are celebrating their States’ formation day.
