Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 15 morning and congratulated him on his re-election.
HDK briefed the PM about the drought situation this year, quoting 45 per cent lesser rains received in the state this year. He also requested the Centre’s help in managing the drought in the state.
He discussed the successful implementation of the NREGA scheme in the state and requested the immediate release of the NREGA fund due to the state.
The CM also briefed PM Modi about the transparent implementation of the farm loan waiver scheme in the state and said that so far, Rs 12,830 crores worth of farm loans were waived off, covering 23 lakh farmers.
