Bengaluru: After his recent visit to the New Delhi confirmed rumours about cabinet reshuffle and said that the party leadership will soon announce the good news.
The CM informed the reporters about the cabinet expansion after an hour-long meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National president JP Nadda.
“I have discussed the political situation in the state. The party leaders asked me to send a list of party candidates to Belagavi Lok Sabha, Basavakalyana and Maski Assembly bypolls. I am happy with the meeting with party central leadership,” he added.
CM visited New Delhi along with his son Vijayendra. Recently, CM discussed with the BJP National General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka to discuss the cabinet expansion.
According to sources, if things go well, the Cabinet expansion may coincide with the auspicious Sankranti. With a dozen ministerial aspirants waiting and seven vacant spaces, the CM is under immense pressure to fill these berths.
CM added that he is waiting for a green signal from the BJP high command to initiate the Cabinet reshuffle but it is still unclear as to whether some ministers will be dropped in the process.
