Bengaluru: On October 7, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai broke a jinx popularly believed in the State by visiting the Chamarajanagar town. On Saturday October 23 he will break the second jinx by visiting the Kittur in Belagavi District to inaugurate the famous Kittur Utsav.

Since the Former Chief Minsiter J. H. Patel era of 1996, it is widely believed that those who inaugurate the Kittur Utsav will lose their post. So, no CM dared to inaugurate this festival.

It is a two-day Utsav.

Bommai who does not believe in superstitious beliefs is a staunch critic of various jinxes associated with the Administration. His decision to visit Chamarajanagar town has won many hearts.
