Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the BJP State Unit, and the Government, State Contractors’ Federation has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National General Secretary (organisation) B. L. Santhosh alleging that BJP demands commission in all contract works. The letter was signed by D. Kempanna, President of the federation. 52 associations are part of this federation.

In the letter, it has been alleged that from ministers to members of the local bodies are demanding bribes. They alleged that few ministers demand 2% commission even before the opening of tender. Further, it has been alleged that while a minister fixed 15% commission, another 10 % commission.

On Thursday November 18, the federation member met Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot and has submitted the same memorandum.

According to the sources, CM Basavaraj Bommai convened a meeting of senior officials fearing the impact of this letter.
