Bengaluru: The complete list of lake encroachments in Bengaluru Urban and Rural areas will be released by the Legislature committee on lake encroachments by December.
K B Koliwad, Committee chairperson released some details about the extent of lake encroachments, rajakaluves, buffer zones and lake bunds on Wednesday. Koliwad further stated that all the details had been compiled and data was fully ready.
“In Bengaluru Urban and Rural areas, the total extent of encroachment around lakes is 10,787 acres and roughly estimated to be worth around Rs 1.5 lakh crore,” said Koliwad.
