Bengaluru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah said on Saturday April 23 that the Congress has set a goal of winning 150 seats in the 2023 Assembly elections and that the party is on track to achieve it.

Speaking to mediaperson he said that the party’s High Command had asked them to win 150 seats in the next Assembly elections, just like the BJP had done. “With this in mind, we have recommended that the party leadership declare candidates six months before the election.”

Siddaramaiah also claimed that the BJP was behind the Hubballi riots, claiming that Abhishek Hiremath was the instigator.

He slammed Sri Rama Sene, saying the government must demolish it with bulldozers since it was causing communal conflict in Karnataka. Describing the JD (S) as the BJP’s ‘B’ team. In response to a question about the constituency from which he would be running, he said that the details will be finalised as the election date is near. He also criticised the government for failing to increase funding for the SC/ST community.
