Bengaluru: Addressing party workers at the BJP protest against Congress-JD(S) alliance, actor turned politician, Jaggesh hit out at the ruling party and said, “Congress leaders are like Sunny Leone. People are watching their behaviour. In the coming Assembly elections, people will teach them a fitting lesson. Both the Congress and JD(S) will be wiped out.”
On Friday, the BJP’s city unit staged a dharna in front of the Town Hall. City leaders which directed 100 workers from each Assembly constituency in Bengaluru to attend the protest, were present during the protest.
BJP state unit had decided to hold series of agitations in the city opposing the alliance of secular forces like Congress and JDS, in a party unit core committee leaders meeting held in the city.
Though BJP got 100 of the 198 seats in the just concluded BBMP elections, Congress and JD(S) have entered into a pact to ensure it does not come to power, said party leaders.
On Saturday, all 100 newly elected corporators will submit a memorandum to Governor Vajubhai Vala, requesting him to intervene in the matter.
