Bengaluru: A delegation of Karnataka State Contractors’ Association met with chief minister Bommai on Monday April 25 urging him to take steps to curb the rampant corruption.

The delegation, led by association President D. Kempana, submitted the government with a petition demanding it rejects the package system of tenders and issues individual tenders for all public works. According to the petition, this will benefit local contractors and ensure work quality.

It was also urged to clear pending contractor dues on a first-come, first-served basis.
