Cook-off brings South Indian culinary experts together in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Food Hospitality World Show that brought together culinary experts from across South India through a Culinary and Mixology Competition announced its winners here on Sunday.

Touted as one of South India’s biggest culinary challenges, the event was held from August 9-11 in association with the US Premium agricultural products, to showcase the produce from American soil.

The competition witnessed participation of 30 chefs and mixologists from the southern region.

Robert Hospet, Rasikta Kamble and Harry Simon Peter from Lounge Hospitality Ltd, Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott and ITC Gardenia were Athe winners of the contest, said the organisers in a statement here.

The chefs and mixologists had to showcase their culinary skills using US Premium products like cranberries, Washington apples, pears, California walnuts and pecans.

“I’ve always enjoyed experimenting with food and this contest gave me a platform to showcase my expertise, appreciating my passion for food and take my culinary journey to the next level,” said Hospet in the statement.
