Bengaluru: “Corruption and red tapism will not be tolerated,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai sending a clear and strong message to the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts at the meeting he chaired to review the progress of implementation of 2022-23 budget programmes.

Chief Minister said, “Take a pledge to change the style of administration” to the top brass of bureaucracy. Prevent irregularities in relief works, he said and added that the corruption will not be tolerated. A slow attitude and red tapism would damage the image of the State.

He also called on DCs to be proactive so that administration becomes proactive.

He also assured that the Government would support any initiative that would help the poor. We should work as a team. I need your cooperation to realise my idea of building a new Karnataka,” Bommai said.

Ministers Govind Karjol, R. Ashok, C. C. Patil, K. C. Narayana Gowda, K. Gopalaiah, B. C. Nagesh, B. C. Patil, Chief Secretary P. Ravikumar and other senior officials were present.
