Bengaluru: Chief Commissioner of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Gaurav Gupta said that all efforts are being made to tackle medical emergencies in the wake of a sudden increase in Covid – 19 cases, which has raised concerns over hospitalisation.
“There is reason to be concerned, but there is no need to be afraid,” Gupta said while explaining efforts made to control the virus’ spread and strengthen medical infrastructure. “This is a period when caution is needed,” he added.
His assurance comes as experts warn that in the coming weeks, daily cases in Bengaluru alone could reach 25,000.
