Covid-19 impact: Tax concession announced for hotel, tourism sector

Bengaluru: The hotel and tourism industries have been hit the hardest by the Covid – 19 outbreak. The State Government has announced a tax concession in order to provide relief to them.

According to the government notification, a 50 per cent concession has been provided for the hotels, resorts, restaurants in the property tax in the financial year 2021-22

The government has also announced concession in the electricity bill for the period between April – June 2021 for these establishments. The concerned establishments are directed to contact the District Tourism Department offices for the further information.

This announcement has come as a big relief to the tourism sector which is facing problems since April 2020.
