Covid outbreak in schools: CM Bommai to hold meeting

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that a meeting will be held on the evening of Saturday November 27 to discuss precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid.

According to him, the conference was necessitated by the recent increase in infections reported from schools in Bengaluru rural and Dharwad, as well as in Kerala.

Speaking to mediapersons here, CM said that health and Covid experts would be present at the meeting. Containment measures for the new Covid variant ‘Omicron’ will be discussed as well.

“The State’s situation will be discussed and precautionary measures will be taken,” he added.
