Bengaluru: Vice Chancellors of several universities have been instructed by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Higher Education G. Kumar Naik to consider delaying examinations for degree courses by a month.

He stated in a press release on Wednesday February 16 that he has asked the Vice Chancellors to make a decision because the teaching of the syllabus has yet to be completed due to the third wave of Covid and the guest lecturers’ strike disrupted classes. Meanwhile, few universities have already announced their semester exam schedules.

“However, the Commissioner of the department of collegiate and technical education has submitted a letter requesting that the exams be postponed by a month to allow students to prepare properly,” he said.
