Market intervention plan for onions
As the prices of onions have dropped dramatically, the government is contemplating a market intervention plan for the vegetable. A good yield has led to the drastic fall in the price of onions. Around 3.5 lakh acres where onions were cultivated is said to have suffered a loss. The state government will ask for a support price of Rs 11 per kg.
