Bengaluru: On Friday October 29, the statutory inspection of the newly electrified railway line between Yeswanthpur – Sampige Road Section of Bengaluru Division in South Railway was held by Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Circle.
According to the sources, the inspection was done for a length of 56 route km (RIKM). The 115.4 km speed trial was completed successfully.
Chikkabanavara, Gollahalli, Doddabele, Nidavanda, Hirehalli, Kyatasandra, and Tumakuru are the stations coming under the electrification project. This initiative is part of Indian Railways’ attempts to reduce carbon emissions and achieve zero emission by 2030.
