Cyber crime: Two held for cheating by creating fake websites

Bengaluru: The Vijayanagar police have arrested two persons for cheating lakhs of rupees by creating fake websites and e-mail IDs.

The police have identified the accused as Vivek (31), residing at Trimurthy Apartment, Model Town, Moulvi Nagar, Jaipur and Sushantha Mahendru (23), Jungpur extension, New Delhi.

According the police, the accused have destroyed the videos of Youtube, Google, Twitter and others thus incurring a huge loss to MTV Colours, Fox Star India, Heroes International, Bollywood Life, Amazon Web Service TV channels.

The police said a case was registered based on a complaint by the management of www.aiplex.com. According to the police, Sushantha Mahendru was working with www.aiplex.com three years ago. Now, Mahendru was working with Markscan in New Delhi. The police said both the accused joined hands with the owner of www.Markscan.co.in and committed the crime.
