Cyber fraud: Woman in B’luru duped of Rs 55k

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru woman was made to believe that she had won Rs. 25 lakh as a reward under Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) lottery and duped her of Rs 55,000.

The victim has been identified as Saroj Kumari, a resident of Wilson Garden.

She has filed a complaint with Cyber Police in this regard. In her complaint, Saroj has stated that a man identifying himself as Thana Pratap Singh informed her that she had won Rs. 25 lakh through KBC lottery, and asked her to transfer Rs. 55,000 as a fee to claim the reward.

The police has registered a case.
