Davanagare: Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Friday April 29 that the BJP’s victory in the four states had boosted the morale of BJP workers in Karnataka, and he expressed confidence in the party’s ability to win 150 seats in the 2023 Assembly elections.
He termed Congress as an “orphan” and a “sinking ship” that will lose its existence in Karnataka. He was addressing the public during the foundation stone-laying ceremony for several development projects in Jagaluru town.
Yediyurappa said that the development work launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led to the party’s win in four out of five States, indicating his popularity. “We want to replicate this in Karnataka,” he stressed.
He claimed that Congress’s last bastion in Karnataka will be lost soon after the Assembly election results. Yediyurappa further stated that he, including the BJP team, will visit all of the constituencies to meet the party’s target of 150 seats.
“The 2.4 tmc feet of water allotted to Jagaluru will help the drought-prone taluk improve its water table,” he added.
