Davangere: State law minister J C Madhu Swamy has invited trouble by allegedly addressing Kanaka Mutt Pontiff Eshwaranada Swamiji in the singular on Tuesday, November 19.
According to reports, the minister had attended a peace meet pertaining to the conflict on the removal of the Kanaka Circle nameplate, located at Huriyal. The meet was chaired by Eshwarananda Swamiji. Members of the Kuruba community have claimed that Madhu Swamy had addressed the seer in the singular (which is considered to be a lack of respect).
In retaliation, the community has demanded the minister to resign and urged Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to suspend him from his Cabinet.
Leaders of the community have also warned BSY that if he does not give in to their demands, they will wave a black flag in protest against him during all his public meetings.
