Bengaluru: Former prime minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda has expressed concern over the suicide attempts by three retrenched employees of Bosch Ltd. Gowda advised the workers not to make attempts to end their lives since such attempts were not a solution to the problem.
Gowda said that 263 retrenched works and 650 on-job trainees have been stating protest for the last 440 days against their removal from service by Bosch Ltd. “The agitating workers were feeling frustrated. The families of these workers are facing lot of problems all these days. I will take up the issue with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Minister for Industries R V Deshpande and Minister for Labour Santosh Lad,’’ he said.
