Bengaluru: Former prime minister and JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda on Monday demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged scam in Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrasructure Corrdor (BMIC) project by the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) company.
Gowda alleged that the owner of NICE company had looted thousands of acres of lands belonging to farmers and other innocent land owners. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take strict action against the NICE layouts and also demolish illegal structures inside Bengaluru.
The House committee of the State legislature in its probe found that there were irregularities in BMIC project by the NICE company. Hence the government should take over the project and hand over the case to CBI, he added.
