DG IGP holds virtual review of law & order, says curb communal incidents

Bengaluru: State Police Force Chief Praveen Sood directed all the police officers to initiate stern action with regard to any incidents that cause communal disturbance.

He asked officials to curb all the communal violence and protect law and order situation in the State. DG IGP who held a video conference with senior police officers from all the districts warned that officers will be held responsible if any communal disturbance incidents are reported from their jurisdiction.

His meeting gained significance after allegations of police inaction in many communal incidents that rocked the State in the last few days.

Earlier, former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa warned not to ill-treat Muslims saying Hindus and Muslims are the children of one mother.
