Bengaluru: Chief Minister’s Political Secretary NR Santhosh has been discharged from a private hospital in the city on Monday.
The incident of Santhosh getting hospitalised had hit headlines as it was said that he had attempted suicide. Many new theories had started making rounds and KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar had insisted for a probe because he suspected political pressure behind the move of Santhosh.
However, responding to the statement made by DKShi, Santhosh said that the KPCC Chief needs to get some rest!
“The recent by-poll debacle is driving him to make irrelevant statements. He needs to get some rest. He should either go to a hospital or take a month’s leave,” Santhosh said adding that DK Shi must think twice before speaking about a leader like CM BS Yediyurappa.
Further clarifying that he had not attempted suicide, Santhosh said that he is having sleep issues and hence had taken sleeping pills.
“I had ended up taking double the dosage, which led to some health complications. I had attended a family event, following which I had other health issues too. My wife was scared to see my health deteriorate and hence I was taken to a hospital,” he said adding that he is mentally a very strong person, who will never resort to taking such an extreme step.
“I will meet CM BS Yediyurappa in two days,” he said.
