Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa informed on Tuesday April 19 that BJP State leaders will tour the State with the aim of winning 150 seats in the 2023 Assembly elections.
Speaking to mediapersons he said that this was the first time the party was approaching people intending to win 150 Assembly seats.
“We will also do door-to-door campaigning, highlighting our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s development efforts. This will help the party in achieving the targets, he said.
“After the Davangere Vibhagiya Baitak is completed, we will begin our state tour. During this tour, we will listen to people’s problems and find solutions right there on the spot. In addition, pending development projects will be completed on time, and the issue will be discussed with the CM,” he said.
“The people of the country have rejected the Congress and it is evident in Assembly elections in five states. The Prime Minister has asked for a Congress mukt Bharat. In the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections, we will try to achieve this. The State will be devoid of the grand old party. The Congress, which is dead in the north Indian states, is only alive in the Karnataka,” he added.
