Bengaluru: Bangalore University Dean and Faculty of Commerce Dr. Cynthia Menezes has been appointed as acting Varsity Vice-Chancellor. She took charge from outgoing Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venugopal K. R. on Friday June 10.
As Saturday June 11 and Sunday 12 are holidays, Governor and Varsity Chancellor Thawar Chand Gehlot appointed Menezes as the VC with effect from Friday June 10 though tenure of Prof. Venugopal ends on Sunday.
Selection of a suitable candidate to fill the position of VC on a regular basis is yet to be completed
