Bengaluru: Sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay has applied for a divorce from his first wife Nagarathna. He has approached the city family court seeking a divorce citing cruelty as one of the reasons.
According to sources close to the actor, his advocate moved for divorce on his behalf.
“He has sought for a divorce on the grounds of cruelty, cheating, acts of violence by Nagarathna. He informed the court that he needs peace of mind and Nagarathna is creating a lot of disturbance,” said sources.
It can be recalled that since the last two months, Duniya Vijay has been in the news for all the wrong reasons including an assault on his friend, family dispute, controversy surrounding his second marriage etc.
