DySP Ganapathi death: Judicial panel starts inquiry

Bengaluru: The state government has appointed Justice K N Keshavanarayana, retired High Court judge, as a one-man commission of enquiry to probe the death of DySP M K Ganapathi. The commission will operate from the fifth floor of Cauvery Bhavan on KG Road from Monday to Friday, a press release said.

Dy SP Ganapathi 2DySP Ganapathi had hanged himself at a hotel room in Madikeri in July. According to the press release, the commission will enquire into the circumstances that led to the suicide of Ganapathi, who was working as DySP (Departmental Enquiries) at IGP Western Range in Mangaluru.

The commission will also look into the unnatural death report registered at Madikeri police station on July 7.
