Bengaluru: Following a flood situation, many schools in East Bengaluru announced holiday for children on morning of Monday September 5.
Maratahalli, HAL, Electronic City, and Sarjapura Road are the worst-affected areas.
According to the early morning messages sent to the parents from the schools, as the school buses can’t navigate in the water-filled roads, the holidays have been announced. Also students’ safety has been borne in mind.
On Sunday night after 10.00 pm till early hours of Monday, all the District of the South Karnataka witnessed a heavy rainfall causing widespread damages to the properties and standing crops.
The IMD officials have warned rains for another four days, which is likely to disrupt the normal life.
