Bengaluru: Education Minister B. C. Nagesh has directed authorities to change the name of Bababudangiri in the text books.
Chikkamagaluru MLC M. K. Pranesh had lodged a complaint with the Minister that even though as per the government documents this shrine is called as Shree Guru Dattatreya Baba Budan Swamy Dargah and Chandradrona Parvatha, in text books it is mentioned as Bababudangiri sending wrong information.
Based on his complaint, now the Minister has asked the officials to look into the matter and change the name as per the government gazette documents.
This is expected to raise another war of words between the BJP and opposition parties.
