Entrance test for teachers to be held on May 21, 22: Min Nagesh

Bengaluru: The Department of Primary and Secondary Education has begun the process of recruiting 15,000 teachers for classes 6 to 8 The notification will be issued on March 21.

Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online beginning March 23.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh said during a press conference held on Friday March 18 that the last date to submit applications online is April 22. “The Common Entrance Test for the recruitment of teachers will be held on May 21 and 22,” he said.

According to the department’s data, the highest number of shortage of teachers is in Mathematics with 21,000 posts. This year, the department will fill 6,000 posts.

“When we look at the total shortage of teachers from grades 1 to 8, it’s around 30,000. However, we are filling 15,000 posts in classes 6 to 8, said the Minister.
