Bengaluru’s pothole woes have inspired a humorous post by entrepreneur Saurabh Aggarwal, who shared his daily struggle with the city’s bumpy roads on LinkedIn. Playfully comparing his bike taxi rides to a gym workout, he joked, “Why my Rapido rides in Bangalore are secretly a fitness hack (and easier on the wallet!).” According to Aggarwal, maneuvering on the “patchy” roads is like a cardio workout, with potholes doubling as quad exercises. “My fitness tracker probably thinks I’m doing planks!” he added.
Aggarwal also praised Bengaluru’s “perfect” weather, with its “complimentary AC” and refreshing breeze, adding that bike taxis save him money that goes straight to his “post-workout protein smoothies.” He noted that the peaceful hum of the bike engine beats one-sided conversations typical of cab rides.
The post quickly went viral, prompting users to respond with witty remarks. One user even suggested tagging the road transport minister to promote more potholes as a cost-saving measure.
Previously, Sivaramakrishnan Narayanan, co-founder at Fyle, humorously proposed an app to rate and review potholes, giving a new twist to Bengaluru’s persistent issue.
