Bengaluru: In a ghastly incident, a 30-year-old man from Bheereshwaranagar killed his two sons  aged five and four after a row with his wife on Wednesday in Subramanyapura police station limits.

According to the police sources, the killing was a deliberate act of revenge as the suspect Sathish Kumar had picked up the boys from the crèche in the morning while his wife Jyothi was at work in a plastic factory, took them to his house and killed them.

According to the police, Sathish Kumar and Jyothi got married six years ago and moved to Bengaluru in 2011. Sathish is from Humnabad in Bidar. Jyothi is from Kanakapura and works in a factory.

It was said that on Tuesday evening, Jyothi left the house with their children and went to her mother’s home nearby following an argument with Sathish. On Wednesday morning, she dropped the children at a crèche before heading to work. Around 8.45 am, Sathish picked up the boys and took them back to their home in Bheereshwaranagar.

When Jyothi’s sister informed her that the boys were with their father, she rushed home after completing her shift around 1 p.m. only to find them lifeless.

The children were taken to the nearest hospital where they were declared brought dead. “The murders could have happened any time between 8.45 a.m. and 1 p.m. It seems like the crime was committed to settle marital disputes, which had accumulated over a period of time,” said a senior police officer.

The Subramanyapura police have registered a case of murder and are on the lookout for Sathish.
