Bengaluru: Following the complaints that air pollution is increasing in Cubbon Park, the horticulture department, which is managing the park is all set to install Fine Dust Eater machines inside the park. These machines can absorb the dust and other minute particles in the air.
According to the Yallappa Reddy, chairman, park management advisory committee, these machines will start operations inside the park from November 1. “This is the solution to the complaints of air pollution inside the park. A private company is providing machines on pilot basis and the same company will be maintaining them too.
These machines can be fitted on the vehicles as well as on the floor,” he said adding that it can purify air of 100 mts radius.
Horticulture department has been criticised for allowing movement of vehicles inside the park, thereby adding to the pollution.
