Bengaluru: An FIR has been registered at Wilson Garden police station against two ED officials, Mittal and Kannan, in connection with the Valmiki Development Corporation Scam case. The complaint was lodged by Kallesh, former joint director of Valmiki Development Corporation, at Seshadripuram police station, which was later transferred to Wilson Garden police station.
According to the complaint, ED officials, including Mittal, allegedly pressured Kallesh to deposit grant money into an MG Road bank account, claiming it was instructed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, former minister Nagendra, and the FD department. The officials allegedly threatened to arrest Kallesh if he didn’t comply.
The complaint also alleges that Mittal scolded and intimidated Kallesh, saying he would be arrested and jailed for 2-3 years if he didn’t write a statement implicating the CM and Nagendra in the scam.
The FIR registration comes after an NCR was registered at Seshadripuram police station. The case is under investigation.
