Bengaluru police have launched a manhunt for Brijesh Indira, a fitness trainer and self-proclaimed bodybuilding champion, suspected of murdering Guna Ramakrishna, a 30-year-old dog breeder. Ramakrishna’s semi-burnt body was discovered in Tamil Nadu five days after he went missing on January 10.
The Incident
Ramakrishna had visited Indira’s rented apartment in an upscale Bengaluru complex to recover money owed to him. CCTV footage from the evening shows two men moving a blood-stained body wrapped in a bedsheet into an elevator, implicating Indira and an accomplice.
The Investigation
The victim’s wife, Josephine Mary, filed a missing person report on January 12, which escalated into a murder case after CCTV evidence surfaced. Police confirmed Ramakrishna’s body was dumped and partially burnt in Tamil Nadu.
Suspect Background
Indira, previously linked to assault cases and financial disputes, cultivated an image of being influential. Police describe him as a conman operating under the guise of a motivational speaker and gym owner.
The search for Indira and his accomplice is ongoing, with investigators piecing together further evidence to ensure justice for Ramakrishna.
