Flag row: Cong leaders protest, Legislative Council adjourned till Feb 21

Bengaluru: The State Legislative Council on Friday February 18 was adjourned till Monday February 21 after Congress leaders staged an overnight protest in the Assembly.

The Congress members protested demanding Minister K. S. Eshwarappa’s resignation and then dismissal over his remarks of National flag being replaced by Saffron Flag at Red Fort. Opposition Leader, and Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah even said that the party will continue its protest till Eshwarappa is removed.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar expressed displeasure that no action was taken against Minister Eshwarappa despite him disrespecting National flag.
