Bengaluru: Overseas Centre for Foreign students of the Karnataka state Higher Education Council has decided to launch a portal with details of all universities in Karnataka, with the aim of making selection of universities in Karnataka easier for foreign students seeking admissions in the state colleges.
The portal will be an one-stop destination to find details on courses and to download application forms for admissions to the universities. Each university will have an international centre and a nodal officer to assist foreign students, said Depertment of Higher Education Additional Chief Secretary Bharat Lal Meena.
Under its ICT initiative, the department will make the pre-exam and post-exam process online with introduction of online application and admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Other benefits will include digital attendance registration, inter-university information highway and online affiliation process.
