Bengaluru: Amidst statements that the autopsy report of Paresh Mesta were doctored, BJP General Secretary, MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that the doctor who performed the post-mortem of Paresh Mesta has been missing. The allegation has sparked further confusion as the BJP has been claiming that Mesta was tortured to death by a particular community members.
Karandalaje has said that the doctor from Manipal who ruled out the possibility of attack, torture and assault on Mesta has been missing from Manipal over the last three days. “His mobile has been switched off. The staff in Manipal Hospital do not know where the doctor has gone. He has vanished due to pressure from the state government,” she said demanding that the doctor must come out in open and reveal every detail of the case.
“It was with the sole intention of shutting the case that the government ensured that the autopsy reports came out the way they wanted it to be,” she said attacking Home minister Ramalinga Reddy for his irresponsible statements with regard to this case.
“He billed off the murder of Paresh Mesta as a small incident. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is acting as though Tippu has taken rebirth. He is giving great importance to Popular Front of India, which is linked to the ISIS,” he said.
Earlier, senior BJP leader Eshawarappa and Paresh Mesta’s father Kamalakar too had alleged that the hospital has been misused by the government and that Mesta’s was not a natural death.
Meanwhile, the state government finally decided to handover the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
