Bengaluru: A tweet by former minister and senior BJP leader S Suresh Kumar, immediately after by-election results were out has left BJP red-faced. As expected, several BJP staunch supporters appreciated Suresh Kumar for speaking the truth.

In a series of tweets, S Suresh Kumar stated that it was “time for genuine introspection…. Time for our cadre-based Organisation-Party to re-invent itself to get ready for the Major Exam. ..”

According to the party insiders, this tweet was against the party state president BS Yeddyurappa, who is often accused of ignoring the party cadres and the organisation. “His reference to the cadre-based party has a lot to do with the ignoring of the RSS’ suggestions on the selection of the party candidates especially in Ramanagara,” said a party leader.

As expected several of his followers supported his tweet. Raman Kumar, one of his followers stated that the BJP must think of bringing clean hands into its organisation before the 2019 Lok Sabha election to prove a meaningful alternative to the ruling JDS-Congress alliance.

Suresh Kumar was the first BJP leader to attack Gali Janardhan Reddy for his insensitive remarks against Siddaramaiah’s son’s death.
