Bengaluru: The resignation of Kannada and Culture minister CT Ravi, who was also serving as Chikkamagaluru district in-charge minister has been accepted by the Governor.
Ravi tendered resignation after he was appointed as the BJP National general secretary.
The BJP follows the rule of ‘one leader, one responsibility’. Hence when he was appointed as the party National General Secretary he had decided to step down from the post of Minister.
He had submitted his resignation letter on October 3 to the CM, but the CM had not accepted the same.
On November 2 Ravi had stated that the requested CM BS Yediyurappa to accept his resignation again. Now based on CM’s advise, governor Vajubai Vala relieved him from the responsibility.
