Govt committed to assist acid attack survivors: CM Bommai

Bengaluru:‎‎ Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday May 13 announced that it will be ordered to provide assistance to all acid attack victims in the State.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the ‘Hello Revenue Minister – helpline’ held at the Banquet Hall, Vidhana Soudha. Bommai said that a financial assistance of up to Rs. 5 lakh will be provided to all the acid victims under the self-employment scheme. Rsidential plots and houses too will be made available to all acid attack victims, he said and added that it was the Government’s responsibility to stand by the acid attack survivors.

He also added that acid attack survivors’ pension has been raised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000. The programme was organised by the Revenue Department
