Bengaluru: The State Government is doing its duty through performing ‘Thrividha Dasoha’, three kinds of services in the form providing food, shelter and education to the downtrodden, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Friday January 21.
Speaking to mediapersons on his way to ‘Dasoha Dina’ at Tumakuru Siddaganga Matha, CM Bommai said that the Matha had began the culture of charity in the State. Keeping the spirit of Shivakumara Swamiji, and Basaveshwara, the State Government has decided to celebrate Dasoha Day at the Matha. The rice quota per head has been raised from 4 kg to 5 kg, he observed.
Further, CM Bommai added, “Charity in education is being implemented by the Government through scholarship schemes to construction workers’ children, and shelter through housing project under which 5 lakh houses are being planned to be constructed.”
