Govt to celebrate Netaji’s birth anniversary at schools, colleges

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced on Tuesday January 18 that the State Government has decided to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who sacrificed his life in the fight for India’s independence.

CM Bommai, who chaired a virtual conference with senior officials on Wednesday January 19 to discuss preparations for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Jayanthi on January 23, said his life is an inspiration for the youth.

“It has been agreed to celebrate Netaji Bose’s 125th birthday at the Jakkur Flying School. It would include about 100 NCC cadets and Commanders. In a statement released by the CMO, CM Bommai was quoted as stating, “It has been decided to invite Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar for the programme.”

CM Bommai also informed that it was decided to celebrate Bose’s 125th Jayanthi with meaningful and inspiring programmes throughout the year in all schools and institutions.
