Bengaluru: One of the challenges faced by the State Government today is vaccinating every single individual above 18 years. Officials are concerned over complacency and vaccine hesitation growing among a section of people. It has become a big challenge when the fear of Covid – 19 third wave is looming large.

Hundred per cent vaccination is key to protecting society from another devastating Covid -19 wave. The real-life experiences are proving that hospitalisation of those who get both the doses of vaccine is very low.

According to a study carried by the Health Department in Hassan District, in the last two months 23 persons succumbed to Covid – 19, and among them 22 are unvaccinated. Only one person who got a single dose of vaccine died due to the virus.

According to the District Health Officer Dr. Satish, this data proves that vaccination is the key to protect human lives from the Covid – 19. He requested all the people to take the vaccine at the earliest.
