Bengaluru: The state high court has granted permission to Ballari Congress MLA Anil Lad, an accused in the illegal mining case for a 11-day foreign tour.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had arrested Anil Lad in July 2015 under the charges of corruption in the Ballari illegal mining case. Later he was released on bail.
Anil Lad had moved the high court seeking permission to visit China for 11 days between October 25 and November 4 to buy machines for his proposed steel plant.
The high court while granting him permission for the tour, has directed Lad to return his passport to CBI once he returns from the China.
