Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy slammed Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah for calling JD (S) as a “sinking party.”
Kumaraswamy has accused the Congress leader of betraying the party that gave him “political birth.”
Kumaraswami remarked that, “He is a JD (S) member who has betrayed the party that gave him political birth and continues to criticise it for no reason.”
He further stated that Siddaramaiah will not be able to sleep unless he criticises the JD (S) party. During the last election, his party finished third in the Sindagi constituency. “There has never been a time in history when Congress came in second,” he said.
Siddaramaiah said people would not vote for the JD (S) since it is a sinking party while he was campaigning for the Congress candidate in the Sindagi bypoll on Saturday October 9.
Referring to Siddaramaiah’s remarks that “educated voters do not vote for the JD (S) party,” Kumaraswamy said, “Does he have people in his pocket?”
