HDK angry as Congress appoints its MLA as legislative secretary to CM

Bengaluru: It seems the gap between the ruling coalition partners-the JDS and the Congress is slowly widening. On Tuesday night, CM HD Kumaraswamy lashed out against KPCC leaders for nominating Congress MLA from Shidlaghatta V Muniyappa as the legislative secretary of the CM.

On Saturday, at the time of cabinet expansion, V Muniyappa was recommended for the CM legislative secretary post by the KPCC leaders. This was not approved by JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda who pointed out that a Congress MLA can’t work in this position and communicated the same to CM HDK as well.

On Tuesday night, CM HDK, after returning from Sulwadi in Chamarajanagar called a few KPCC leaders and expressed his displeasure openly. He warned them that if the Congress leaders don’t mend their behaviour the government may fall at any time.

The coalition government has been the talking point ever since it came into existence. Questions have been persistently raised over the life of the coalition specifically because the partners are said to share not so compatible equations behind the scenes.
