Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has decided not to honor the recommendations made by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on the appointment of new chairmen for various boards and corporation. This is expected to escalate the tension between coalition partners.
According to the sources, CM HD Kumaraswamy informed about his decision in this regard to KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao. JDS leaders were upset with the way in which KPCC recommended chairmen for the various boards and corporations.
“The Congress state unit is exercising pressure on CM HD Kumaraswamy in numerous ways. This was one of those pressures. Recommendations are made without consulting the JDS leadership,” informed a JDS leader.
